Business Growth MAP mentors help cultivate and foster a growth mindset in students while contributing to the success of small businesses and nonprofits in the region. The objective is to have a diverse group of voices that are poised to bridge the student transition from theoretical work in the classroom to real-world, hands-on experience.
Business Growth MAP seeks mentors who:
- come from a variety of business backgrounds
- come from historically underrepresented backgrounds in business (LGBTQ+, African American, Native American, Latinx and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander)
The program aims to develop and maintain a quality group of mentors across demographic groups to reflect the diversity of the student population at WSU Vancouver and of the region. This is the best way to cultivate a campus and community climate that is contextually rich, and ethically and socially just, which will lead to the opportunity to thrive for all.
