Become a mentor and have a lasting impact on the next generation of business leaders and growing businesses. Mentors help business student put classroom knowledge into practice while contributing to the success of small businesses and nonprofits in the region. Gain valuable insight into current industry practices while helping to improve economic growth in the community.
Who: Open to seasoned business professionals looking for volunteer opportunities.
Time: Mentors devote three hours a week over the course of a 16-week semester.
When: There are two sessions to choose from: August to December and January to May.
Responsibilities: Mentors work with both the student team and client to:
- Clarify client needs
- Keep the client engaged and assist with student interactions
- Ensure the student team addresses meaningful issues ad guides students to provide useful analysis
- Make sure the students’ recommendations are realistic
- Help the client understand and implement the analysis
Mentors complete an interview and application process.
