One-of-a-kind: program history

Developing hospitality industry leaders since 1932

The hospitality business management program at WSU Vancouver is the first and only hospitality bachelor’s degree program in the Southwest Washington and Portland metro area.

With tourism here growing faster than the national average, leaders in the hotel and restaurant industry in the area asked WSU Vancouver to extend the successful program at WSU Pullman to Vancouver, saying the need is great and the time is right.

The hospitality business management program at WSU Pullman is the third oldest in the nation. It started in 1932 and ranks among the nation’s best.

The program in Vancouver gives you access to an excellent alumni network of hundreds of hospitality business management alumni in the region. The Vancouver program also has dedicated industry partners that students can contact for class research, internships and job opportunities.
